Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account. Name, email address, and password. We send a one-time code to verify your email address. A phone number is stored only if you add one later.
• Profile. Occupation, gender, date of birth, city, area, language, whether you are looking for a room or listing one, profile photo, contact preference, lifestyle tags, and notification preferences.
• Listings. Address, city, locality, map coordinates, rent, deposit, property details, and the photos and videos you upload.
• Location. Your approximate location while you are using the app, if you allow it, so we can show nearby rooms or place a listing pin. We do not collect location in the background. You can type an address instead of sharing your location.
• Activity. Saved searches, listings you view, and interest messages you send to a listing owner.
• Technical data. IP address, basic device and app information, and server logs used to run and protect the service.

How we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, show and manage listings, search by location, send an interest request to a listing owner, and keep the service working. We do not sell personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

Who can see it

• Other users can see listing details you publish, such as photos, rent, and location.
• Your email address and phone number stay hidden from a listing owner until that owner accepts your interest request.
• Google receives address searches and map requests through Google Maps and Google Places, so the map and address search can work.
• Amazon Web Services hosts the application and database. Cloudflare stores and delivers uploaded photos and videos.
• We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse of the service.

Permissions

The app requests location access only while it is in use. Photo and video access is requested only when you choose media to upload. The app does not ask to use the microphone, and it does not track location in the background. You can turn these permissions off in your Android settings.

How long we keep it

Account and listing information is kept while your account or listing is active. After we verify a deletion request, we delete that personal information unless we must keep a limited record for security, fraud prevention, or a legal obligation. Copies in backups are removed on the normal backup cycle.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is not available from the profile screen. To request deletion, use https://greykrafts.com/urbannest/delete-account or email privacy@greykrafts.com with the subject “UrbanNest Account Deletion Request” and the email address on the account. We may ask you to confirm that you own the account. You can also ask for a copy of your account information or a correction.

Age

UrbanNest is for people 18 or older. We do not intend to collect information from anyone under 18.

Testing app

UrbanNest Stage is a test version for invited testers. It follows this same policy. Please do not include sensitive personal information in test listings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
